Ghosthunters Lee and Linzi Steer are catching hell from social media after continuing their paranormal investigations during the stay-at-home order in the United Kingdom.
The South Yorkshire-based duo have been live-streaming their investigations of a haunted mansion and nearby wooded area for their Facebook page, Ghosts of Britain.
Other paranormal organizations were quick to criticize, admitting they had suspended their investigations. But the Steers were continuing to charge ahead.
“This is our livelihood, we’re entitled to work,” Linzi Steer said. “Me and Lee can’t work from home.
“The government guidelines state that, ‘certain jobs require people to travel to and from their work,’ providing you’re not showing coronavirus symptoms, which we’re not,” she added. “It’s upsetting that people attack us when we are working. We are not stupid.”
As of April 1, there have been 33,718 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 2,961 deaths in the United Kingdom.
Bigfoot does a walkabout in Ohio
Two outdoorsmen in Ohio allegedly captured the Ohio Grassman on video while touring Salt Fork State Park in early February.
The Grassman, which is just a Buckeye State name for Bigfoot, was captured wandering upright through the trees.
“My friend and I got permission to fly our drones at Salt Fork State Park in Ohio,” one of the men writes, in a post accompanying the video. “While we were there we heard many strange noises and we believe we may have found the Ohio Grassman/Bigfoot/Sasquatch.”
Project Blue Book captures UFO at Skinwalker Ranch
The History Channel’s TV series “Project Blue Book” allegedly captured a triangular-shaped UFO during the shooting of its Skinwalker Ranch episode.
Premiering on March 31, the History Channel aired a 12-hour live stream at the location for Youtube. Not long after the three-hour mark, a UFO with green lights appeared.
Some viewers were skeptical, but others couldn’t explain the phenomenon.
Voice from beyond the grave
A paranormal investigator in Pennsylvania reported hearing a woman’s voice coming from beneath a pile of dirt inside a shed, state police said in a late January report.
Officer Johnathon Mosier reported he paid Evergreen Cemetery on Morgantown Road early in the morning after they received a 911 call claiming, “He heard a female’s voice screaming, ‘Help. Help, I’m buried alive’.”
The investigator, who was unnamed, had bought a shovel and began digging in the area of the voice.
“No female was located and troopers cleared the scene and continued patrolling Fayette County,” the brief incident report concluded.
North Yorkshire gets a visit from ET
A YouTube user named Gavinda Jya Jya captured a bizarre triangular-shaped UFO out of the window of their Harrogate home in mid-January.
The object hovered in the blue sky and as if being pulled along a line from the other side of the window.
“My eyes were on the sky because this had happened already, this was the second one a couple of minutes later, it looked identical and was on the same path,” she wrote in the video’s description. “I would have stood up and continued filming but there’s (sic) houses that it went behind and it would have looked like I was filming into somebody’s house!!”
‘The Holzer Files’ renewed for another season
The Travel Channel has renewed its ghost hunting show ‘The Holzer Files’ for another season of 13 episodes.
Given the number of cases Hans Holzer and medium colleagues investigated throughout the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, there is plenty of source material. His biggest case was that of the Amityville Horror, where he and medium Ethel Meyers entered the house at 112 Ocean Avenue. They said that it had been built on … wait for it … a First Nations burial site.
The show, anchored by investigator Dave Schrader, medium Cindy Kaza and technician Shane Pittman, team up with Holzer’s daughter Alexandra and researcher Gabe Roth.
McGregor shares his on Ghostspotting
Actor Ewan McGregor shared a bizarre ghost story with late-night host Seth Meyers from he was a 20-year-old student at a theatre school in England.
“It was a student house, and I stole someone’s video recorder to watch Blue Velvet and I was standing, running a bath, in a robe. My room was at the top of the staircase, with a dark hallway, I was suddenly struck with pain.”
He removed his robe to find a burn mark on the back of it. He couldn’t find anything. The back of the robe was dark. He shared his experience with a neighbour, and he turned ashen white.
There was a reclusive gentleman who lived in another flat. He was making something and passed out and the man died.
UK releases 60 years of UFO reports
The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence disclosed to the public its reports of UFO sightings and investigations from the early 1950s to 2009 in early February.
Some of the reports had been previously published on the National Archives website, but the full scope of the unnamed department’s work won’t be published until a dedicated website is made.
Live Science reported that the department responsible for logging UAPs and UFOs was eliminated after the Ministry of Defence enacted a policy change.
